Organization Type: Rapidly Growing Multi-Unit Retail & Commercial Portfolio Group
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex (Plano, TX Area – 100% On-Site)
Position Type: Full-Time, Executive Leadership
Target Compensation: $175,000 – $225,000 Base Salary (Commensurate with experience) + Performance Bonus
Executive Overview An established and expanding multi-brand retail and commercial portfolio group in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex is seeking an agile, commercially focused, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Reporting directly to Executive Leadership and Company Ownership, the CFO will serve as the principal financial strategist and operational co-pilot for the enterprise. The organization encompasses multi-unit retail storefronts, supply chain distribution, food service, and associated commercial operations.
This role requires a leader who excels at bridging high-level strategic planning with direct, hands-on operational finance—dissecting unit-level P&Ls, optimizing working capital and inventory cycles, spearheading multi-entity consolidations, and establishing institutional-grade internal controls to power continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership & Ownership Partnership
Serve as the senior financial advisor to ownership and executive management, translating complex financial and operational data into clear, strategic growth initiatives.
Direct multi-year financial modeling, long-range planning, capital structure optimization, and ROI analyses for new store launches, facility investments, and commercial ventures.
Advise on entity structuring, debt financing, commercial contracts, and banking relations.
- Working Capital, Cash Flow & Multi-Entity Consolidation
Direct treasury management and rolling cash flow forecasting across multiple operating legal entities, retail locations, and logistics centers.
Actively manage working capital requirements, vendor credit terms, payment cycles, and retail inventory carrying costs.
Oversee comprehensive multi-entity accounting and monthly consolidation, ensuring rigorous intercompany reconciliation and audit-ready financial statements.
- Operational Finance, Unit Economics & Cost Containment
Partner closely with store operations and procurement to analyze store-level unit economics, margin contributions, shrinkage, labor efficiency, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly variance reporting, holding department and operations leaders accountable to performance targets.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable internal financial controls, approval matrices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all business units.
- Compliance, Governance & Financial Reporting
Supervise the accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end GAAP-compliant consolidated financial packages.
Manage commercial banking facilities, credit lines, covenants, and merchant payment systems.
Ensure strict corporate adherence to multi-jurisdiction sales tax, franchise tax, corporate filings, and regulatory compliance.
- Team Leadership & Infrastructure Modernization
Lead, mentor, and elevate the in-house corporate accounting and finance team (controllership, FP&A, AP/AR, and payroll).
Evaluate and optimize financial systems, ERP integrations, POS financial feeds, and automated reporting dashboards to eliminate manual processing.
