Position Overview

We are seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist I to join a leading healthcare organization in Portland, Oregon. The successful candidate will perform routine and complex neurodiagnostic procedures and provide high-quality technical support for patients undergoing neurological testing and monitoring.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment with exposure to advanced neurodiagnostic procedures and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex electroencephalographic (EEG) procedures.
  • Conduct and assist with specialized neurodiagnostic testing, including:
  • Evoked potentials
  • Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) monitoring
  • Continuous EEG (cEEG)
  • Ambulatory video EEG
  • Monitor and assist with the placement of sphenoidal, grid, depth, and strip electrodes.
  • Assist with WADA testing.
  • Assist with cortical stimulation procedures.
  • Ensure accurate acquisition, monitoring, documentation, and transmission of neurodiagnostic data.
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout procedures.
  • Follow applicable clinical, safety, infection-control, and departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as part of the patient care team.

Required Qualifications

  • Education sufficient to meet applicable certification, licensure, or registration requirements.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of full-time EEG experience.
  • Experience with complex EEG procedures, EMU monitoring, cEEG, or ambulatory video EEG is preferred.

Base Salary Range: $59,092 – $90,417 per year

The final compensation offered will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors. Additional compensation may be available depending on shift, overtime, standby/on-call requirements, premiums, or other applicable programs.
